19/03/2010 THE LATEST FORCE TO SELCECT COMPACT ARE KENT POLICE COMPACT's user group has increased to 21 UK police forces. Kent have selected the system to manage their missing persons data. Kent will benefit from the ability to generate quarterly returns that can be sent to the NPIA to comply with their new guidance, and also a new feature to automatically generate emails to notify local authorities of missing people in their area.

01/03/2010 THE RELAUNCH OF LYNX-FIRE Lynx-Fire has been relaunched. The system has been designed to provide fire investigators with a greater insight into an incident enabling arson patterns and trends to be recognised. The latest feature of the system is an interface to the IRS system, transfering data onto Lynx-Fire and reducing the amount of data entry for the user.

02/02/2010 WPC PARTNERS WITH HPI TO PROVIDE CRUSHWATCH INTERFACE WPC has partnered with HPI to provide automatic access to their new CrushWatch scheme via ELVIS-VR. HPI CrushWatch is a new initiative aimed at supporting policing operations which target motorists driving on UK roads without valid insurance details.

20/11/2009 ELVIS ENSURES THE SECURE RELEASE OF VEHICLES Staffordshire Police have become the first force to start using a link between ELVIS-PF and ELVIS-VR to keep uninsured drivers with forged documents off the roads. The combined system helps officers ensure that seized vehicles held by garage contractors are not released unless the correct driver documents have been produced.

12/10/2009 FACET PROMOTED AT THE NATIONAL FRAUD FORUM WPC Software have recently attended the National Fraud Forum. The forum was held at the Latimer Conference Centre in Buckinghamshire between the 7th and 9th October. The forum was an opportune place to showcase our new case management system, FACET. The system has been designed for the fraud and finance department.

01/09/2009 PDF FORMS FOR CORE-VET Core-Vet's functionality is to be enhanced by the introduction of electronic PDF application forms. PDF forms can be emailed to all applicants who can complete them electronically and email them back. All data can then be imported into the Core-Vet database.

26/08/2009 WPC AT POLICE SUPERINTENDENTS' ASSOCIATION NATIONAL CONFERENCE 2009 WPC Software is pleased to announce that it will be attending the Police Superintendents' Association National Conferemce 2009 to be held at the Chesford Grange Hotel near Kenilworth, Warwickshire. The event, which runs from Monday 14th September to Thursday 17th September, is specifically designed for Superintendents to discuss relevant policing topics.

24/08/2009 THE NEW VEHICLE MISUSE REPORT A new report is being added to ELVIS-Police Forms to help forces act more effectively with information provided by members of the public related to the misuse of vehicles. ELVIS's new Vehicle Misuse Report gives a force a single channel to record any incident related to car misuse. The report provides simple but effective mechanisms for tracking follow-up actions.

01/08/2009 CORE-VET V2.1 RELEASED WPC is pleased to announce the release of Core-Vet Version 2.1. The latest release includes a number of enhancements to the Core-Vet system. Core-Vet supports an option to have a direct PNC interface. This allows users to create PNC checks from within Core-Vet. Version 2.1 also supports a number of new features.

28/07/2009 COMPACT WEBSERVICE FOR MOBILE The new COMPACT API webservice has recently been developed to enable forces to interface easily with the COMPACT database. By purchasing the API forces are able to mobilise their COMPACT data. The new API mean that forces can develop their own missing pesons application for use on a Blackberry or PDA that links seamlessly with the main COMPACT database.

20/06/2009 WPC RELEASE COMPACT 4.1 WPC's COMPACT v4.1(Community Policing and Case Tracking) has now been released. This new version corresponds with several national guidance changes. The latest enhancements to COMPACT include a new fast-track tasking system and new sections associated with the person record.

17/04/2009 WPC SPONSORS MISSING PERSONS CONFERENCE WPC Software is delighted to be sponsoring the first joint national conference on Missing Persons organised by the charity Missing People and the NPIA Missing Persons Bureau. This year's event is titled Transforming the Missing Landscape and takes place on Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th April at Ryton-on-Dunsmore, Coventry. The event gives professionals from across the 'missing' spectrum the chance to share knowledge and experience, and will also provide an ideal opportunity to look at the latest developments on COMPACT, WPC's missing person case management system.
