Eastern Region Collaborate using Core-Vet

September 10, 2010

The flexibility built into the design of the Core-Vet application is now paying dividends, as it is enabling police vetting management units in eastern England to work collaboratively.

Our web-based system - which provides a fully auditable and secure method of managing the entire vetting process - gives police forces access to the same information database.

Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk police forces have selected Core-Vet as the vetting solution for the entire eastern region. Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire have merged their vetting operations and created a central unit which will host a single database for the region's other forces.

Meanwhile, Warwickshire Police has launched a national contractor vetting database using Core-Vet which it has made available to every police force in the country. Warwickshire Police carry out national vetting of contractors on behalf of other UK forces. They have been managing this vetting on Core-Vet for the past two years and are now also using the system to share information throughout the country.

A total of 18 police forces have now selected Core-Vet which enables officers to build up a complete history of a particular applicant, from previous applications and addresses to previous checks and clearance levels. It reminds vetting operators of checks and clearance levels that are due for renewal or review, and can print certificates, letters and bespoke reports.

If you would like to see Core-Vet in action, we can provide an on-line demonstration. If this appeals to you or if you would just like further information, please contact WPC Software on 0117 908 1484.
