WPC Software has developed an enhanced, web-based document management solution named Core-DMS which replaces the current system, Ferret.

6 forces have now adopted Core-DMS for use with a range of WPC's other products such as ELVIS, Inn Keeper, and COMPACT as well as using the system as stand alone in Firearms departments. However, Core-DMS can be integrated with any of WPC systems or used as stand alone.

New features within Core-DMS include...

• The ability to store any document type such as Microsoft Word documents, PDFs, scanned images, video and audio.
• Being web-based, documents can be viewed and accessed across the force network. This is managed by a 'check in and out' feature.
• Facilities to save and email documents directly from your computer, reduces the need to print and scan.
• A search tool allows you to search for words and phrases within documents.
• Multiple versions of the same document can be created.
• There is a fully secure audit trail to track activity within the system.
