14/08/2006 Tocsin Fire helps Warwickshire tackle false alarms Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service is using WPC Software's dynamic Tocsin Fire system to help implement the CFOA (Chief Fire Officers Association) policy on Remotely Monitored Fire Alarm Systems (RMFAS), and reduce the time it spends responding to false alarms. The new system provides WFRS with a central resource for all information related to automatic fire alarm systems, offering instant access to data at the click of a button.

29/06/2006 WPC Software now a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner WPC Software is pleased to announce that it is now a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, just six months after becoming a Certified Partner. Microsoft Gold Certified Partners are required to meet even more rigorous requirements for certification and expertise. WPC Software has reached the status of Gold Certified Partner by demonstrating increased levels of developer certification, and by providing completed customer reference projects that were independently verified by Microsoft.

14/04/2006 THREE NEW FORCES ORDER COMPACT WPC is pleased to announce that the number of COMPACT - Misper users is growing. Humberside, Bedfordshire and Merseyside have all recently selected COMPACT to assist them in the management of their missing persons cases. This now brings the number of forces using COMPACT to 13, a quarter of the UK's police forces, and cements WPC's position as being the leading supplier of missing persons case management software.

24/03/2006 Hi-tech boost in dumped car fight Northamptonshire's arson task force will now use a state-of-the-art computer database to help organise and speed up the removal of abandoned vehicles from Northamptonshire's roads. The task force - a partnership between Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service and the police which aims to combat a rise in arson in the county - is using ELVIS-VR (Easy Link Vehicle Information System for Vehicle Recovery) to provide a central database for information about abandoned vehicles, which are often a target for arsonists.

10/03/2006 Great results for WPC in customer satisfaction survey In January 2006 an independent customer satisfaction survey was run by TNS Prognostics, and WPC fared exceptionally well. The survey was carried out as part of WPC becoming a Microsoft Certified Partner, and the results of it put WPC well into the top 5% of Microsoft Partners.

25/02/2006 New features for Lynx Lynx, WPC's new telecommunications data analysis software has been updated to include new time-saving features, thanks to operational input from several police forces. Its main feature is the ability to import and analyse telephone billings from a variety of sources. Users can now display most frequently called numbers at the touch of a button, saving hours or even days of effort.

10/02/2006 ELVIS helps catch illegal drivers WPC Software has updated its powerful ELVIS-PF vehicle information system to provide Merseyside Police with force-wide access to statements that are recorded when drivers have to produce their documents at a station. ELVIS-PF now includes a facility that offers police forces instant computer access to all HO/RT 2 statements and automatic links to the PNC to speed up data entry.

01/02/2006 Shogun users to become CRISP compliant WPC has been awarded a contract by Hertfordshire Constabulary to develop a link between our Shogun firearms licensing system and the Cross Regional Information Sharing Project (CRISP), an initial step in the Home Office / PITO IMPACT programme.
