Overview
The management of equipment and assets is an essential part of
modern policing. Our customers need to accurately record, monitor,
audit and service a variety of operational assets that are key to
the prevention and detection of crime as well as public
safety.
Effective management of assets ensures equipment is safe to use,
servicing is up to date and a full audit trail is maintained of
when and where an item is used and by whom. WPC's asset management
products include:
Asset
Manager which has been developed to allow customers to
track different types of assets from covert surveillance equipment
and vehicles to low value consumables. The system allows users to
record assets and when they were used, as well as
scheduling repairs and maintenance.
Equitrax which
records all Airwave radio equipment, with in-built work flow for
the auditing of assets and the management of repairs, replacements
and maintenance.
Tocsin an
alarm administration system enabling forces to manage intruder
alarms and track false activations. Forces can then proactively
manage the call outs to alarmed premises in line with ACPO's
Burglar Alarm Policy.
INCA a solution
designed to manage the dispatch and use of incapacitent spray used
by police forces. Spray cans are classified as a firearm, therefore
the accurate recording of use and allocation to an individual is an
extremely important part of the audit process.
