Ferret DMS, WPC Software's powerful document management system, is the answer to recovering shelves of stored documents back into valuable workspace.

Ferret's primary purpose is to allow large volumes of paper documents to be stored digitally and rapidly retrieved for viewing. It is a software tool that uses a scanner to create a digital picture of any paper-based document. It can then either "attach" the image to a computer record from a software application, or work independently as a stand-alone system. This means that you can keep your current computer systems and simply add the contents of your filing cabinet to them.

• To save staff time inputting each record individually, a method of batch scanning is provided. This feature automatically bar codes separator sheets for each file that needs to be scanned. A user can then feed the scanner with all of these files, which Ferret recognises and saves.
