Notts Case Study
Overview

Inn Keeper is a Windows application for the police administration of licensing. It supports the licensing function by combining the administrative needs of liquor licensing with a powerful intelligence capability that delivers information on alcohol-related crime and disorder.

It is an established user-configurable system for the recording of information and tracking of premises, people and activities related to liquor licensing.

System Benefits

The new Licensing Bill aims to streamline the service provided by police forces, causing business processes to change. Inn Keeper caters for these requirements by:

  • Providing Licensing Officers with consistent, quality information that enables informed decision-making.

  • Improving efficiency, reducing administrative effort, reducing routine tasks.

  • Tracking data and analysing crime activity.

  • Gathering intelligence and sharing it with other partnership organisations.

  • Allowing out of hours access to remote authorised users through its Web Browser facility.

  • Additional web and Windows interfaces are available, such as Quick Address to validate location details and Blue8 to spatially present information on a map base to assist in the identification of hot spots.

Quotes
Mark Czechowski, Licensing Sgt for Trent Valley Division said:

“We're pleased with the efficiencies made by Inn Keeper. It means that, so far, 6 police officers have been released to police the streets, from this divison alone, instead of being tied up with licensing administrative duties.”
