TOCSIN For Fire and Rescue Services

Overview

Tocsin is a software application created to facilitate the administration and management of all factors associated with burglary alarm systems. It is designed specifically to implement ACPO's Burglar Alarm Policy, as revised in 1995, 2001 and 2004.

Tocsin allows the Force to actively manage Alarm, Alarm Company, Alarm Receiving Centre and Activation records.

System Benefits

Tocsin aims to cater for these requirements by:

  • Providing a central resource for all alarm system related information.

  • Allowing easy access to all records to update information or response levels.

  • Being cost effective and using a Best Value approach, making use of industry standard software wherever appropriate.

  • Providing optional access to Ferret, WPC's flexible documentation system.

  • Saving on office space, working towards a paperless office.
